WPW 2021 - Free to Attend

The 2021 IEEE Wireless Power Week (WPW) has moved to online and will be held in a virtual format. The conference dates stay the same as originally planned, from June 1 through 4, 2021. The conference does not require a registration fee for a general attendee without a technical paper to present. With this free registration, we hope more fellow colleagues will join us at the 2021 IEEE WPW. The registration fee for an author is USD $150.

The 2021 IEEE WPW is a joint conference of two world-leading conferences in wireless power transfer technologies: the IEEE Workshop on Emerging Technologies: Wireless Power (WoW); and the IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference (WPTC). The WPW has been the largest event in the world for wireless power transfer research. Since the inception in 2018, the WPW have received nearly 1,000 papers and published more than 650 papers. In the 2020 event alone, which was recently held in South Korea, the WPW received more than 300 papers and 400 attendees from all over the world. The Wireless Power Transfer School, supported by the IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Project initiate, will be held during the event.

Our keynote speakers from diverse sectors include Prof. James C. Lin (University of Illinois at Chicago), Dr. Paul Jaffe (U.S. Naval Research Laboratory), Dr. Alex Lidow (CEO of Efficient Power Conversion), Prof. W. Bernard Carlson (University of Virginia), Mr. Cesar Johnston (COO of Energous), Mr. Andy Daga (CEO of Momentum Dynamics), Dr. Morris Kesler (CTO of WiTricity), Dr. Burak Ozpineci (Oak Ridge National Laboratory), and Mr. Jesse Schneider (CEO of ZEV Station). The 2021 IEEE WPW will be financially co-sponsored by IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) and IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS), and technically co-sponsored by MTT-S, PELS, and Antenna Propagation Society (APS).
